Action Bronson sent to hospital after being ‘blinded’ by light at Ottawa show

American rapper Action Bronson had to cut short his concert in Ottawa Monday night after a strobe light blinded him and sent him to hospital.

In a video of the incident, Bronson could be seen getting blasted in the face with strong lights and stumbling. He momentarily tried to continue with the se, but then walked off the stage and went to the hospital, according to TMZ.

Bronson later took to Twitter to explain why he was unable to finish the show, and to let fans know he was feeling better.

“Those things need to never be near me again,” he wrote in the tweet. “It was almost really bad.”

I WAS BLINDED AND DISORIENTED FROM THAT BLAST OF THE STROBE LIGHT LAST NIGHT THATS WHY I WAS UNABLE TO FINISH IN OTTAWA. IM FEELING BETTER NOW THANK YOU. THOSE THINGS NEED TO NEVER BE NEAR ME AGAIN IT WAS ALMOST REALLY BAD. BE CAREFUL.— *STONED BEYOND BELIEF* (@ActionBronson) April 16, 2019

The Ottawa concert was one of two recent Canadian stops on Bronson’s current tour. He performed in Montreal Saturday night.

The rest of his tour will hit stops in the United States and Europe.
