Fans defend PEI radio host fired for ‘inappropriate’ content

More than 2,500 fans of a Prince Edward Island radio host have signed a petition to bring him back after he was fired for saying “inappropriate” things on air.

Joee Adams told the PEI Guardian that his former employer, Q93, fired him after a segment in which he asked listeners things people shouldn’t do in public.

Adams listed some answers live on air, which included “shaving your private parts at a PTA meeting” and “watching porn in a library.”

Adams said the radio station had warned him before and that the segment was likely the last straw.

Fans launched the petition shortly after Adams announced his firing on Facebook. Supporters took to the petition’s comments section to defend Adams.

As of early Monday afternoon, 2,843 people had signed the petition.
