Justin Bieber, a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs fan, showed up to cheer on his team last night, only to be let down with a game 7 loss.
The Biebs made an appearance at Boston’s TD Garden with his wife Hailey Baldwin (Bieber) where the team was eliminated from the NHL playoffs after a 5-1 win for the Bruins. The loss marked the third year in a row the Leafs failed to make it out of the first round of the playoffs, and the second consecutive year in which the team fell to the Bruins in a game 7.

The Canadian pop star was notably active on Instagram during the first round of the NHL playoffs, sending out prayers and messages in support of the team.
“Dear lord please be with [Auston] Matthews, Mitch Marner and all of the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight as they play game 7 against the Boston Bruins,” he wrote Tuesday in a post.
In an earlier post on Monday he also asked God to bless the team so it would win game six.
Bieber, originally from Stratford Ont., even took on a Winnipeg Jets fan who trolled him via social media, catching the attention of the Manitoba team’s official Instagram account.
So as the Leafs have lost their place in the playoffs, fans including Bieber, will have to wait yet another year to see if the Toronto team can make it one step closer to claiming a Stanley Cup title.
