A New Brunswick man, who thought his wedding ring was lost forever, was recently reunited with his band 62 years later.
As reported by CTV News, Lorenzo Doiron had his ring slide off his finger while he was throwing hay at his former home in Rosaireville, N.B.
“All of a sudden I seen my ring fly through the hay,” he said.
After it went missing, Doiron and his wife Theresa searched for the ring with no luck. Then their barn burned down.
Robert Babin, the new owner of the property, said he was working in the garden when he discovered the ring.
In an attempt to find the owner, he brought the ring to a local community club.
When Babin ran into the Doiron’s, he noticed that Theresa Doiron was wearing the same band.
“The hair came up on the back of my head. I couldn’t believe it,” Doiron said. “A part of me was gone and I got it back.”
He added that he still can’t believe it when he sees his old wedding ring every time he looks down at his hand.
“I can’t thank him enough, Robert, for giving it back to me.”
