An Ontario woman frustrated police recently when she dialled 911 to say she was running late for her train.
An audio clip of the phone call was posted on the Peel Regional Police’s Twitter page on Thursday.
Being late for a trip is never ideal.
Calling 9-1-1 to ask the police to act as an “emergency” ride service, to get you there on time?
Yeah…not gonna happen.

During the exchange, the woman tells the operator that she doesn’t think she’s going to make her train at Union Station and asked if they offer “emergency ride services.”
“I don’t know how you guys operate,” she says.
“I can assure you, we don’t do that,” the operator responds.
The call ended shortly after the woman apologized.
A constable from the police service told the Canadian Press that they’ve received more than 180,000 improper calls from this January to the end of October. This includes hang-ups, kids playing on the phone or other non-emergency situations.
