Saskatchewan man charged after allegedly threatening to shoot PM

The RCMP arrested a Nipawin, Sask. man after he allegedly issued threats against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Police said David Petersen was speaking to an employee at a Canadian government agency when he threatened to shoot the prime minister and blow up the Parliament buildings.

Petersen is now facing charges that include uttering threats against the prime minister and Parliament.

The RCMP said there has been no contact between Peterson and the prime minister.
